"As a small business and remodeler we carefully plan and spend money on marketing methods to drive new prospects and repeat business customers. Home Shows related to our business are one of the categories which we use to combine with Website marketing, directed phone calls, and project site promotions.
During the 12 months ending in December 2010, we participated in 6 shows at either the Convention Center, Expo Center, or the War Memorial Coliseum and by far the most successful was the 2010 FALL HOME IMPROVEMENT SHOW which was produced by the Oregon Remodeler's Association and CW Productions. This success was measured in leads produced by actions in the booth and fulfilled appointments with quotes and Contracted business.
We have already registered and paid for our spot in the 2011 Show!"

"I have been exhibiting my home improvement business in consumer shows and fairs throughout the Portland Metro and Salem areas for approximately 2-1/2 years, but October 2010 was the first time I've participated in the PDX ORA Home Improvement & Remodeling Show or any other show produced by CW Productions. My experience with the show was very positive and exceeded my expectations. I was really impressed by the professional, classy look and feel of the show, which I believe translated to consumers being more ready to communicate and do business with the exhibitors and the quality of leads was excellent. I have been able to convert an unusually high number of leads to sales.
My intention in participating in the 2010 Home Improvement & Remodeling Show was merely to test it out and see if it was worth my investment of time and money. "As a first timer doing the home Improvement and Remodeling show I will have to say for the price of the booth it was one the most cost effective ways of marketing my business. I was able to generate about 5k in sold jobs during the show and another approximately 20k throughout the next year. I will definitely do the show again next year. The quality of consumers that were ready to get moving on their project with a little help was quite adequate. I was pleased to speak with so many homeowners that were excited to have me out for an estimate so soon after the show ended. The day of set up I noticed that the booth next to me was a general contractor offering many services to his customers and one the services was flooring install as well as product itself. The show staff was quick to resolve the issue of having two flooring contractors next to each other. The show staff had asked the other contractor to remove any flooring products and signage he had as he did not state "flooring" in his enrollment form. He was very cooperative in doing so and we actually ended up working the show together referring possible leads to each other."
